As a quick aside - this is a very useful
feature in certain applications.
Specifically, I run the output of a drum trigger
pad into the gate input, with the EG set for
minimum (or close-to-minimum) attack time. The
output of the envelope is then velocity-
sensitive, since a heavy hit to the pad sends
a higher voltage into the gate than a light
hit does.

But the envelator EG's do, which makes them
less useful for the application I just
described. I greatly appreciate the fact
that a complete Wiard system has *both*
kinds of envelopes.
(And playing the Wiard with a drum kit as the
UI is fun fun fun!)
