In the 70's we had Buchlas.... In the Wiard, I have found a Buchla sound and philosphy with real documentation, user modifiable, field maintainable, with 21st cetury components and construction. And, to top it off, add Grant, who is constantly rethinking his designs, considering his user's needs (who does that?) Congratulation, Grant Gary Chang P.S. For the record, I found the most recent faceplate artwork to be of exceptional quality. (I'm not celtic..). With my aging eyesight, I am too busy trying to READ the graphics than to admire/dispise the artwork. I think that we let our sentimental glands run wild when then admire our old synths - IMHO, with the exception of a 2600 Blue Meanie, a music easel or a Roland Jupiter 8, most of electronic music instruments look like they were designed by IKEA, or should be hanging out with the rest of its kind, in the back corner of some props wherehouse where they store all the stuff for the Spaceballs sequal! gc
