It would be great if you could use plastic for faceplates, because they look so cool and the 
colors are very intense.

Plastic dosen't have any shielding abilities, so you would need to have metal behind it.

Printed circuit board material could have a shield layer on one side and touch switches on 
the front. That would be more practical. PC board material is fiberglass rather than 
plexiglass.

But I agree it would open up panel design to some really imaginative levels.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
