2002 Time for change

2002-01-01 by C. Whitten

Happy New Year.
I just joined up in order to find out more about the system.
So, any thoughts apart from the usual "it's great, buy it" would be
gratefully excepted.
My main serious concern would be ease of use. I'm up to speed on the basics
but haven't yet really explored the advance features on my Serge yet. Having
said that the Serge might have to go. Thinking about it in comparison to
Wiard the only module I would really miss would be the Wave Multiplier.
Going back to the posts about prototype Wiard modules, a Comb Filter which
offered resonant eq would be another incentive to go Wiard. The Analogue
Systems' Comb Filter is one of my favourites and something I use all the
time. I'm not that wild about mini-jacks although Wiard modules would
interface very well with my 2600 (something else I use all the time).
Is it straight forward to input audio into Wiard modules? I do a lot of
guitar and drum processing and don't always want to go via the Arp.
BTW, can you do different things with the MiniWave than the Waveform City?
Thanks, Chris.
Future Wiardo?
