welcome to the left coast! indeed it is much more
expensive, and you will probably not be able to find a decent po-boy, but at
least you won't be 110 degrees in 100% humidity for a while - - er, i take that
part about humidity back - you're in portland.

home) after a week of recovering/packing our stuff in New Orleans. The
good news is that all I lost was an Akai S2000 sampler (Oh, well; I
should be using the computer anyway...). The Wiard gear (Wogglebug,
Borg, Omni, and Waveform City) all made it, as well as the Doepfer, A.
Sol. gear, Marimba Lumina, etc... Currently, it's all on its way via
freight delivery to the UPS store... Unfortunately, we don't have a
big house anymore (we're in a 2 bedroom apt. with 500 sq. ft.), so I
really had to pare down. Got rid of a few hundred CDs and LPs, and
still have to find a storage unit... Anyway, we're just glad that
everything's OK (relatively). I'm already starting to play some with
the things we were able to carry on the plane (MS2000, Nord
MicroModular, and the laptop with Reaktor). Still, I can't wait to get
back to the analog gear! Hope y'all don't mind the rambling update.
It's just so good being able to create again (and to soon have that
Wiard Gear back in the studio!).
