i just got a big mess o cords from analogue haven -
shortest ones are a foot long though. maybe you already saw that and that's
why you're asking -- but any shorter than that would seem to cause a sort of
tension between the jacks as the cord is subject to more extreme bending. a foot
makes a nice n' easy arc between tight spots. they seem to be pretty sturdy, and
no noticable difference in quality between the store brand and the doepfer cords
that i notice yet. probably come from the same factory.
(be careful when you go to that site. i find my
credit card becomes extremely hot in my wallet.)
the other option would be to make your own. it's
easy as pie. you can get decent parts from mouser, digikey, or any number
of online suppliers if you don't have a decent local source. blacet also sells a
bag with all the parts you need in one handy bag, but i've found those cables to
be a little more thick and heavy duty than i find to be pleasant. a six inch
cord would probably more like a small stick - not wanting to be bent
at all.

than 12 inches, perhaps 6 inches long?
Thanks,
