I too have been enjoying this maillist.

Why are you concerned with the things others could do with
an instrument this small and cool? Could they steal
something from you or gain some advantage?
I'm not sure what you are saying. I am sure quite a number
of people not qualifying as "cockroaches" wouldn't deserve
either having to ship back and forth a loved instrument
because of minor defects. One frequently heard laudatio of
Wiard synthesizers is concerned with Grant's great design
efforts put into maintainability factors.
In case you mean "abuse" in terms of technical violation -
who has been quoted with this: "an unmodified modular is an
unloved modular"?
