Moog Source again.

Moog Source again.

2013-02-21 by Jim Blair

One more question about the Source.

Does anyone here know of a parameter list for the original factory
patches? I'd really like to hear what this synth came armed with when new.

Thanks,

Jim

The original 15 factory patches were each given their own page in the Source Owner's manual:
http://thesnowfields.com/manuals/Source_Manual.pdf
pages 60 through 74. Many thanks to the snowfields folks. I'd skip factory patch 15: Snare Drum. Who wants their Source to sound like a snare drum?

Clavinet?

2013-03-03 by Jim Blair

I'm wondering if anyone here has attempted to fix a Clavinet pickup?
My upper died, and appears to be fixable, IF I can get to the wires
inside the epoxy (or whatever they sealed the pickup with.) I would
love to simply replace it, but $220 is not in the cards right now.
Besides, I hate throwing something out just because it's busted.
Especially when I can SEE the broken wire inside the epoxy!

Thanks,

Jim Blair

Hi Jim,
A few years ago I had a D6 and had the same problem, as I recall I used a combinaton of soldering iron and hot air gun to soften the epoxy near the break, then solder a new joint.
I actually attached an external wire to each visible join with the plan to have an idividual feed from each section, for improved filtering, but I did not follow it through and left is stock instead.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
Paul
