The glide pedal controller is coming out of a Lowrey tube organ and will be completely stock except for new connectors and a plywood base.
   Thanks,

Hey Paul,

Congrats on getting it up and running. And thanks to evening1 for confirming the top octave thing. I haven't played mine in a while... it's too big to set up in my house. But it is by far my favorite string synth. People go on about Solina.... but this thing is ALIVE!

Please share any info you get on configuring the glide/volume controller. From the schematic, it looks like the pedal/switch are just a divide down circuit that totals 352Ohms and which maybe could be replaced by a regular variable resistor based pedal and a switch... all the circuitry is in the Freeman. I just don't want to try anything myself...

best,

DT

The tech has already fixed my divider issues and a dead key that left the factory with no solder as well as a couple other little problems like no audio at all from the output. He's now investigating replacing the missing volume pedal with glide kick switch and I'm afraid I just authorized replacing the bushings which will be very expensive. I took it tomy local organ repair guy and the technology is very familiar to them. He played it for me over the phone this morning while admiring the animation and detail of all the chorusing and modulation.

Actually... has anyone done anything to address this design problem on their machines? I've never seen such board sag.. it's like they are made of cardboard. I guess just adding some more standoffs in the middle of the boards would help.
