Priority international does NOT have any such tracking, I am not sure where you got this but it's not true...in my neck of the woods anyway.
I have found that USPS Global priority is the only real form of shipping that the USPS offers with REAL tracking and insurance.

Reality is a concept...basically.
Well I can tell straight away the number you supplied there is airmail
letter post as it starts with LJ. It's not Priority Mail International.
LJ prefix numbers are not traceable..not signed for...nor accepted by Paypal.
All Priority Mail International or Express numbers start with CP prefix and are
signed for and fully trackable to the door. They are delivered in the UK by
Parcelforce, not the post office like letter post.
Here's the number of a parcel from the US I recently received: CP275750975US, it
will track to my door on the USPS site and the parcelforce site. It took 10 days
with a hold up in customs, which is about right.
Philip.

This is not my experience. I use USPS I.P. regularly and it's (a) slow, and
(b) useless tracking.
(a) Takes 3 weeks easily to get to Europe.
(b) More times than not the tracking gets stuck at "accepted" and only
rarely is it updated further.
For example I only have the one out now, but see:
http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInternetWeb/InterLabelInquiry.do?origTrackNum=LJ645791504US
It will probably stay like this forever, even after delivery. This allows
the buyer to protest even after they receive the item.
