I don't know how to fix it, but I have the same issue since I replaced the battery.

Retraced and so far working ok.

One thing that I haven't managed to set up is the Internal Memory
Protect to set to OFF. Each time I power the machine off, it is set
back to ON. Any idea how do I set it permanently to OFF ?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
