That's the theory that I'm going forward with to fix my MM+. Haven't checked the 4000 density, but so far can't really implicate an issue (there can be quite a few actually), all suspect caps will be replaced as suggested.
Any comment on how subsystems fail when a compliant power supply comes on line?
