Vintage Synth Repair

Just found out that I wrote potionmeter instead potentiometer (ooops,
lol) well like I said before I am not from this country (but live here
since 2 yrs though) and pretty much a beginner in messing with
electronics. Anyways.... what I intend to do is to achieve the kind of
slow phasing sweep you can hear in this example:

would that be possible at all or should I rather keep my fingers of it?
Also I would also like to see some examples of modications performed
on a arp omni, such as filter mods (bandpass, highpass?), audio to
filter/chorus in, etc.. also is there a way to get rid of this
annoying retriggering function (or install a switch to put it off/on)
