Sequential circuits samplers

Hello, I've been looking into acquiring one of those old Oberheim DPX-1 
sample players. I researched it, and some sites said it did change the 
P2K sounds drasticly, and some said it played them back perfectly. 
Anyway I was wondering if anyone out there owns one, and if so if they 
could say a little something about it? Any help is welcomed, again 
thanks...
