Polysix keyboard assigner

Polysix keyboard assigner

2004-11-22 by oxygeno1313

Hi everybody,

i'm new here in the group,, and i got a problem with a P6. The first
thing, is the KLM-367 board, was a victim of the battery leackage,
but someone made the repair before i bought the P6. I discover that
the control pots have some latency and tjhere's no clean sweep on the
pots, sounds like steps and latency. i checkd every trace that goes
to the CPU 8048 and all the traces are fine, i used a DVM to check
them. Also i replaced the bus drivers 74LS08 and everythings is fine,
i cannot find the fail.

The 2nd problem is the key assigner, something is wrong ! When i play
the keyboard exhist some latency after i play a note, the ARP are not
rhythmic, there's like .... 1-22222-3-4-5555-6 it should be 1-2-3-4-5-
6, some notes hang some milliseconds but not always is the same VCO.
I exchanged the 8049 and replaced some IC's related to the CPU, but
the problem persist. I check too many times the connectors and
traces, but nothing out of normal.

I was searching and reading almost all the messages from this forum,
but seems that this is thhe first case of this problem.

Hope someone can help to find the problem.

Regards,

oxygeno

P.D. Sorry for my bad english ! Cheers

I'm happy now because i finally could fix my POLYSIX, the problem was
the quartz, both quartz were failing, so i want to say thanks to
Johannes, Greg Montalbano and Old Crow for the Support !!! They did a
great job !

Greetings and happy holidays,
