I got one board with my Polysix, but theres five sockets without ICs (four big and one small) and I don't know what to do with the cables (there's a lot). I tried to find something about it on the internet, but it seems that there's only info about the other kits. This one has the letters 'KORG USA' printed in the board. Does anybody knows where to find the schemes for this kit or have it installed in his/her Polysix and can help me with this?. Thank you in advance.

Hi, There are pictures of the Korg MIDI Retrofit in the files section of the list: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PolySix/photos/albums/912066063 According to these the big IC sockets (DIL40) are for the CPUs of the KLM-366 and KLM-367 board and flat cables which connect to KLM-366, KLM-367. Additionally there is a smaller IC socket (DIL14 or DIL16) which accepts a flat cable connecting the MIDI jack I/O module at the rear panel. You might contact the author of this post: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PolySix/conversations/messages/3816 Apparently he owns a Korg retrofit as well. He might be able to give you more information. Johannes

Thank you very much for your help! There's also a copy of the user manual in the files section. Now I only need the installation instructions. I'll contact the author of the post. Best regards from Spain. ________________________________ De: Johannes Hausensteiner <johau@gmx.net> Para: PolySix@yahoogroups.com Enviado: Domingo 10 de noviembre de 2013 21:04 Asunto: Re: [PolySix] Please help on MIDI Retrofit Kit P6-MRK made by Korg USA in 1986 Hi, There are pictures of the Korg MIDI Retrofit in the files section of the list: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PolySix/photos/albums/912066063 According to these the big IC sockets (DIL40) are for the CPUs of the KLM-366 and KLM-367 board and flat cables which connect to KLM-366, KLM-367. Here's all the information I have for the P6 and that kit. Good luck. The file called Polysix_M_Schematic is probably your best starting point to figuring out what you need to do. @James, I think that's another kit, as mine hasn't the battery in the board. I think mine was the first retrofit kit ever made for the Polysix by Korg USA in 1986, and your docs looks like they are from 1999. Here are the pictures: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PolySix/photos/albums/912066063
Thanks for the link anyway. Still looking for the installation procedure.

My apologies, I thought that they were essentially the same - good luck on your hunt for the appropriate docs. Cheers, James Sent from my iPhone
