I choose to replace another push-button yesterday. This time, I took a bunch of pictures and wrote up the process. So, if anyone needs to replace a push-button, but didn't know how, maybe this post will be helpful to you... http://synthhacker.blogspot.com/2013/06/polysix-replacing-push-button.html Anyone got any improvements or suggestions? Chip

Hi Chip, I think it is misleading to say there are only two main parts, the button and the button cover. I think it should more explicitly say that there are four parts, including the LED. The "button cover" is two pieces, the frame and the cap. The cap is the colored part (gray, beige, red, orange) and the frame is black. Make sure you mention to NOT try to remove the cap from the frame, as this usually results in breaking the little black plastic hinges that hold it on. You must remove the frame, cap and LED (three pieces) together, after unsoldering the LED. Don B. _____

Syntaur.com has new replacement frames, but there's a surprise as to where they originally come from - There's a newer keyboard that uses frames that are compatible with Polysix. Check out this YouTube video for details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGuNUtd9rQs Cheers, Syntegrator --- In PolySix@yahoogroups.com, "tonezone020" <swamp.gigs@...> wrote:

Hi Syntegrator, Good to hear from you. I bought the Yamaha part V703990R as shown in your video after watching your video and the part isn't for the P6.. That parts for a Motif 6 - and is a whole push button, not switch frame ! Regards, Tony --- In PolySix@yahoogroups.com, "syntegrator" <me@...> wrote:

Hi, tonezone020 I have a few switch frames from an old prodcution Korg CX-3, which uses the same push switches as the Polysix/Mono-Poly. Let me know if I can help. Best of luck in your quest, Dave Garfield, 'lapsing' here in ol' Colorado... ;-)

Hi Tony, > That parts for a Motif 6 - and is a whole push button, not switch frame ! Oh no! So the Yamaha box the frames from syntaur came in was a red herring? I'm sorry for the misinformation - I'll update that video with a note and commentary right away to stop anyone else from following my incorrect assumption about the Motif 6 using a compatible part. Syntaur.com does have the actual P6 frames for sale at $3.95 each however, which was my real advice in the video. They shipped quite fast and I was very satisfied with the service and parts. I have some of the tact switches in stock. Doug synthparts.com

Thank you, Doug. I'm good on tact switches for the time being, but I have put Synthparts in my go-to parts ordering list, and I hope to be using your services in the near future. Maybe this little boo-boo of mine will be serendipitous... All the best, Dave Garfield
