My Polysix is happy these days with the KLM367 clone. Now I'd like to add MIDI to it. I've built several p6retro boards for my poly-61s and I have one extra board I've been saving for my Polysix, but I'm thinking I would rather wait for something more extensive than just note triggering. I've read rumors that there is an extensive MIDI mod in the works by some members of this group. Any update on that? Thanks!

Hi, You might want to look at the P6MID board which Johannes H of this group sells. The board is no longer sold as a manufactured item but now as a kit. See the details here: http://analog.no/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=57&Itemid= 57 I can confirm that it works OK with the clone KLM-367 as I have constructed two which I have working. You just need to make some mechanical¹ changes to the position of the trimmers and flatten some of those components so you have height clearance. Some of the silicon is a bit esoteric¹ these days, but can be tracked down if you try! Any update on that? For a complete kit I only know of the Johannes board that Andrew already mentioned. (Is it really still available?) That was based in part on http://www.butoba.net/polysix/p6index.html. All that stuff is 10+ years old now. Ben

Oops, forgot to mention the Kenton retrofit: http://www.kentonuk.com/products/items/sockets/korg/polysix.shtml. It also does midi in/out, filter cutoff, pitch bend, etc.

FWIW, I got the P6-KBD MIDI retrofit (http://www.chd-el.cz/index.php?id=399) last month and installed it recently. It was a pre-assembled kit and has more then just MIDI on/off. It cost me $130 shipped from the Czech Republic. It was dead easy to install too. Hi Andrew, Do you still have any that don't require assembly? How much are you asking for one an how much would it cost to get shipped to Vancouver, BC, Canada? Hi Joey, I¹ll send you a private message about this in a little while. No need to bother the good folks here with this!
