Hey...where'd my Bend Wheel effect go?

Hey...where'd my Bend Wheel effect go?

Evenin' folks.

I just got a Polysix in remarkable condition, which spent the last
two decades in the original box and shipping box, tucked away in a
closet. The battery was still in fine condition, everything
functioning fine, though it could use a key contact cleaning. The
original patches were still alive and well in memory.

So, I played it for a week before going ahead with the battery
change. This morning, I succesfully dumped the patches to cassette
and verified them (neat to see 1981 tech do its thing). Took the
entire keyboard to a tech, opened it up for him, and he simply
desoldered the original battery and did a clean job of soldering a
new rechargeable on while I stood there...one which I'll just keep an
eye on. Beautiful.

Came home, reloaded the patches and all works perfectly. But
wait...my Bend Wheel isn't doing anything. The mod wheel works. Range
up...nothing. Hmm.

Is there something simple I'm overlooking or don't yet know?
