Unison detune mod...

Unison detune mod...

2007-10-05 by gil_we

Has anybody had his P6 modded for a unison detune mod ?
What do it actually do ? Does it makes all 6 oscillators go out of
tune, fattening the unison sound ?

I thought the Poly6 already did this when you put it in unison mode.
Are you talking about something else?

Yes,

check the files section - there's a mod about adding a Unison Detune
pot, so you can control the how wide the detuning is.

... or, is there any trimpot which is used to set the amount of
detuning put once you click the Unison button ?

Re: [PolySix] Re: Unison detune mod...

By exchanging resistors r119-r122 for pots the amount of detuning for voices 1-4
can be set manually. An alternative would be to exchange them with vactrols
instead of pots to be able to control all at once (from a pot for example)...

I've tested exchanging r119 for a pot some years ago and could change the amount
of detune by up to +7 seminotes for voice1. However, I dreaded the idea of
having a to drill a new hole for the pot on the panel so in the end I exchanged
it back to the orginal resistor. :/
