Trident MK II pictures

2006-06-18 by Niels Ott

Hello there,

I put some pictures of the repairing of my Trident MK II online.

Unfortunately it was a bit dark in the room and I was too lazy to go
searching for batteries for the flash or the tripod. So some pictures
are a bit fuzzy.

Anyways, here we go: http://www.drni.de/niels/musik/fotos/trident-pix/

Enjoy.

Why don't you convert to Lythium ?

Next time the battery starts dying I'll do so.

It didn't cross my mind and when I finally found the corresponding pages
on the net I already had solved the problem with the other battery.

Can you believe that my Roland Juno 106 still has the first Litium
battery on board and still almost 2,8V... hehe.

That's fine but the one you used in your Trident is a NICD,
I really recommend to replace it right away. You need to use the same
mod for the P6. Next time "it is going to die" the entire machine may
die with it.

It is the very same type as the original one was, only with a different
form factor.

They don't last forever but they last forat least more than one year so
I'll keep it in mind.

Anyways the battery in the Juno 106 is fixed with some cable stuff and
once I replace that, I'll find a solution that I can be applied to the
Trident as well and then that's the right time. (It's a long way from
where I live to the next store selling the parts.)

I appreciate your advice but at the moment I'm glad if I find time for
playing a Trident.
