Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

Hello All!!!

I recently purchased a P6 and mine was close to dead, wierd sounds 
and blinky lights, well I decided to head out to the electronic shop 
and try the battery replacement project, since my battery had leaked 
and affected several IC's so I took those out, and the battery also, 
did a pretty good job of cleaning it out and resoldering it back. I 
happen to find at the electronics store a barrel drum type battery of 
the same voltage, so I decided not to go with the lithium upgrade, 
and I replaced the battery and bought 2 IC holders, WHALLA, I was 
done none of the traces were bad and all traces and contacts were 
verified. according to old crows website if after this procedure the 
CPU may be bad. well it looks that way .......... I get the same 
wierd distorted sounds as before. can anyone help?
