Don´t think so. IMO most 80´s Bands which used Synthesizers could deal
better with Synths as most actual Bands, which only wanna arrive with
software the most complex sounds. According to my opinion is that
nowadays no more art.

As it seems on this Photo www.phasereffect.com/img/v1.jpg (taken from
a Video Clip of the "Final Countdown") and if those are really DX7
Synths (for me they look for 99% like them or i must be blind, the knobs
are not green colored, but hey, it´s a old video) they were responsible
for the backrounds sounds. Unfortunaly you cannot see the Synth which
plays the main-lead (it stands before him and you cannot recognize
anything except brown wood).
