Mattias, that was a very cool video. Who did it? I liked the song as well. Frank In a message dated 8/26/2010 4:12:52 A.M. Just ordered this tape set from the gentlemen at Streetley. Anyone have experience withe the first two sounds on an M400. i played the M300B strings on an M300 and really liked them and I've been looking for a nice full, expressive viola track. I'm psyched!

Tom, The M300B is the solo violin. Do you mean the M300A? I think both sound fine on an M400, although the M300B was pretty mellow sounding (not a lot of high end). Haven't tried the Cyndee Lee Rule Viola, but I like what I heard on the library website and in some of Mike D's arrangements. You'll love Cydee's Viola. It's a big, fat sound that blends well. In a message dated 8/26/2010 11:42:01 A.M. Good stuff, Mattias. The video complements the song well, very creative. As if a child's school project diorama came alive (and dad, the video creator, was there to film it, of course). I think I heard a tron choir in there somewhere, low in the mix. Nice. -Bruce Daily --- On Thu, 8/26/10, lsf5275@aol.com <lsf5275@aol.com> wrote:

Hi Tom, I think the M300B will be exactly what you're looking for. Bernie --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, Tom Doncourt <tomdcour@...> wrote:

They also have those weird few cello notes on the low end where the split on the M300 String section would have occurred. Hoping to use the M300B for some soft string chordal work- love the sound on "Watching and Waiting"! > On Aug 26, 2010, at 12:39 PM, tron400 wrote: > > > Tom, > > > > The M300B is the solo violin. Well...I asked Cyndee to record the new viola as I felt the sound on the original viola was beautifully played but terribly recorded. It's on mellotronworks in Mars and Tallis. I really like it (though I am admittedly biased).

\ufffdWhat I can pick out of the viola parts on your version of The Vaughn Williams piece is just the right sound. I used the old viola sound for a while but it had a strange tone (upper mids?) I couldn't get along with.

Yes, that has just the right amount of bite and body to it. You must either have a remarkable ear or a high tolerance for torture to pick all of this music off!! Very enjoyable, thanks for the "sample'.
