Hi All, The recent amp discussion has me curious. What kind of amplification do you all use for your Trons and other keyboards? I run mine through either a Fender Vibro King or Roland KC-500. The Fender sounds best to me because I like the reverb it has. I use a Roland RE-201 for echo. Best, John#911

I usually use a Fender Champion 600 and/or a Vox Night Train with Celestion blue 1 X 12 cab. --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, "johnm400s911" <john.wright@...> wrote:

My tron sits in the studio, but I'll reamp through a Rivera designed Fender Concert. Soon the leslie 145 will be restored, so that willl become my next overused reamping sound :>)

Again, no tron, but got some decent samples. (Better than M-Tron in any case.) Minor EQ adjustments, a vol pedal, and then I play it through a Crate 120W guitar amp. Mid on the amp turned up, lows turned down. Play it real loud with a touch of reverb. Sounds very 60's this way. -Sean --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, "johnm400s911" <john.wright@...> wrote:

Hi- No instrument amp (yet). I really should get one. I run my M400 through an ART ProChannel tube pre/comp/eq box, then a Lexicon MX200 SFX box. Then, into a little Alesis Multimix8 and into my home stereo. -Bruce D. ________________________________

M400 --> some kind of EQ --> Lexicon MX300 --> Onkyo TX-something-or-other --> Echo Mia sound card --> JBL 4311 monitors --> ears. Bernie --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, "johnm400s911" <john.wright@...> wrote:

I always run direct....sweet passive direct box my tech designed with a Jensen transformer. Little 6'X3' Stocktronics plate for reverbs. If I were to use it live, I think I would use my Fender PS400 (SVT Killer, 365 watts and master volume) as it has clean gain for miles. It also sports a lovely spring verb and a vibrato. Dual EV 15B cab. ________________________________ From: tron400 <tron400@yahoo.com> To: newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2011 5:23 PM Subject: [newmellotrongroup] Re: Amps, was Moodies... During the olde performing days, it was M400 --> passive mixing board --> some kind of preamp --> 2 Phase Linear 400 amps --> 2 folded horn enclosures w/ 2 15" Electrovoice speakers in each + 2 tuned cabs w/25 4.5" Bose speakers in each + 4 Heil AMT1 elements --> ears.
