This has probably been asked before, but can anyone tell me whether when the M400 came onto the market, there were new recordings made, or did they use the original MK2 sounds? (Or a mix maybe). AK Andy kinch kinchmusic@aol.com

Yes the violins did sound "different" IMO to what we now know as the Mk2 violins. There was also my personal favourites Mixed Brass B which was "nasty"! A Andy kinch kinchmusic@aol.com

I agree, however, I site 2 tracks where the "400" strings sound superb.. Genesis: "Mad Man Moon", and Strawbs "Tears and Pavan" I rest my case! Andy kinch kinchmusic@aol.com

Hi Andy, une I'm with you on "Mad Man Moon". May be my favorite use of strings Banks did. Song not mentioned a lot, but a top 5 Genesis tune IMO. Regards, John #911 ________________________________
