I gave up at 1:30 but I assume the flutes at the beginning were tron. You didn't ship one of yours across to London did you?

I'm fairly sure it was NEITHER!
If you look on Andy's website, at...http://www.planetmellotron.com/news.htm and scroll down to the April 2008 entry, he says..."Highlight? Walking into the theatre and seeing an M400 on stage!" - not 'His' or 'Gary's', but 'an' M400.

Not us... I thought Mr. Argent had his own machine - I heard a report that he used it at some regional gig, possibly even at a holiday camp (!), where no-one would give a shit. We supplied two M400s for the Strawbs' 40th anniversary bash, which is prob.what Martin's thinking of.

Assuming Argent doesn't own his own M400 (you'd think Martin would know), my
guess is that they hired it from John Henrys, London's main hire co. I was
lucky enough to have a guided tour around the place from John himself
earlier this year - a full-on vintage kit drool-fest, although most of their
gear (all types) is more current. They've even got Jon Lord's black MkII
(though not for hire), which they reckon 'just about powers up'.

Someone really ought to compile an up datable record of where all working machines are, serial number etc. Would make an interesting read.
