Korg have improved the keyboard on the new Microkorg XL. The key spacing is a little better. (black / white key proportion).

When not traveling, just midi the MicroKorg to the big keyboard and you re good to go. Also you no longer have to shift octaves. I midi it to my Triton Pro

Flat black keys are hard to get used to, but it can be done. Biggest problems are really crappy General MIDI sounds and no velocity sensitivity or sustain
