   I agree, courtesy and proper grammar are sorely missing in today's email world.  It's not too much to ask or expect.  I would not take the inquiry seriously.  I would also not hesitate to prompt the sender for a more sincere and gracious inquiry (if I felt the sender had more than a passing intellegent interest).
   Yessir, it is noticably an American shortcoming.  Our media promotes it, too.  It's no joke.  The media says that men must act like they are still in high school until they reach 45 years of age.  This is the point at which one beer suddenly starts to cause heartburn, reading glasses are required, multiple popular prescriptions are de rigueur, and yet we must still refer to each other as "dude".  And, all women in the same age range must talk like they are the proverbial "valley girl".  Sad.

That's it.  Where are the common courtesies of hello, please and thankyou?  I am fucking well fed up with the lack of manners in emails, sadly eminating from the USA in almost every instance.  People want our help but can't couch it with any grace or politeness.  This person can get well and truly stuffed.  So, to my esteemed US friends, what do you think?
