I absolutely concur, me old fruitbat. The notion of 'prog rock' makes me
run to the toilet, mostly. In most cases you may find that the
instrument was used to make a 'big statement' or fill in gaps a rock
band with higher aspirations couldn't pull off themselves. The problem
is that 99% of what they did was so ham-fisted it reeked of schoolboy
levels of musical enthusiasm mixed with absolutely no sense of taste or
restraint.

I hardly play 'Mellotronic Music' any more because (1) I have one and a
load of tapes and never really have to play something else to be able to
hear it, and (2) most of it is dreadful. If it's not /musically /bad
(ie, if it is 'educated') then usually it means it's moronic.

Czar. Wow. Maybe one of the worst albums ever.
