Is that Mellotron flutes percolating away in the background of "Paper Sun"
by Traffic, circa 1967?

Good question. Chris Wood gets credit for playing flute on Mr Fantasy.
"Hole in my shoe" clearly has Dave Mason's MKII 3V's and flute but both
tracks sound like real flute to me.

Yep, I think so.  "High-Heeled", too.

So I'm doing my own Moody Blues listening -- requesting the magic 7 from our wonderful local library.  I've never listened to a MB album all the way through.  I know the hits, but since history does repeat itself, history does tell me that the hits will not necessarliy be my favorite songs by a band...I'll let you know what I discover/prefer/abhor.  Kinda fun to go back and see what I've missed.
