Please, Frank, I thought we'd agreed to use a term with less negative connotation, like "threshold". lsf5275@aol.com wrote:

:-) Thanks everybody for the kind replies. I will convert to heterosexual, dutch-speaking, progressive and non-catholic tonight, after a dozen of 14.5% belgian tripel. I promise. ... and yes, #126... In perfect condition, I am even gigging it now and then and it doesn't even suffer at all from transport and handling... I love it! If another Belgian turns to be on the list, do I have to do a quiz or physical game in order to be able to stay here? Or does the one with the oldest tron stay anyway ;-) --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, lsf5275@... wrote:

That would be Plastic Bertrand.
On the subject of Belgians, there was something on British TV recently about "famous Belgians", which produced nothing but blank faces. I can think of Kim Clijsters (tennis player), a recently elected bureaucrat called Dupuy (who was vilified in the European Parliament by UKIP MEP Nigel Farage) and Merouane Fellaini, a footballer (soccer player to the USAians) with a stupid hair-cut who plays for Everton. Apart from that........no-one!
(P.S. would our token Belgian just think of these comments as 'friendly fire' - the USAians also know all about that! :-)

Hi Dieter: Belgian Ale? That's good stuff. A lot of our Ontario Micro-breweries are experimenting with Belgian style flavoured beer: Nickleback has apple lager, Mill St. has lemon, Great Lakes has orange peel and green tea ales, Kawartha has raspberry, to name a few.I think to maintain your standing on this site, you should send each willing member a sample or two of Belgian brew regularly. You have enough breweries; about 600 I read somewhere, so there is no excuse. So who has maintained your old tron all these years? Klaus? Markus? Streetly? You? What tape racks do you use? Hello Dan! I'm not quite sure about the exact history of my tron... I bought it from Hessel Herder (NL) about a year ago and, if I'm not mistaking, it had been maintained by the people of Streetly. Current tape racks are one original (8choir/String Ensemble/Sax) and a new one (MKII Brass/MKII 3 violins/MKII Flute) and I will buy some new ones very soon Cheers Dieter, President, CEO and financial manager of the Belgian Committee --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, "Daniel" <dan_miso@...> wrote:

Hello Chris List of my current gear: Mellotron M400 #126 Vako Orchestron Model C #3306 Mattel Optigan Conquistador, which still needs lots of work (replace reverb unit, and thorough cleaning) Korg MS-10 Hammond H-112 Philicorda GM762-2 Arp Solina string Ensemble mark II stereo Hohner Pianet Fender Rhodes 73 mark I Yamaha B3-S Yamaha Maple custom Art&Lutherie handcrafted 12string Johnson Resonator and some "normal" guitars, amps, keys, effects... I bought it from Hessel Herder (NL) about a year ago and, if I'm not mistaking, it had been maintained by the people of Streetly. Current tape racks are one original (8choir/String Ensemble/Sax) and a new one (MKII Brass/MKII 3 violins/MKII Flute) and I will buy some new ones very soon > > Cheers > Dieter, President, CEO and financial manager of the Belgian Committee > > --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, "Daniel" <dan_miso@> wrote: > > > > Hi Dieter: > > > > Belgian Ale? That's good stuff. A lot of our Ontario Micro-breweries are experimenting with Belgian style flavoured beer: Nickleback has apple lager, Mill St. has lemon, Great Lakes has orange peel and green tea ales, Kawartha has raspberry, to name a few.I think to maintain your standing on this site, you should send each willing member a sample or two of Belgian brew regularly. You have enough breweries; about 600 I read somewhere, so there is no excuse. > > > > So who has maintained your old tron all these years? Klaus? Markus? Streetly? You?
