Little Red Lens Cap

Little Red Lens Cap

2010-07-06 by john barrick

It has arrived. Never thought that 1407 would be complete. With the
exchange rate the total cost (with shipping) came out to about $21 US.

Frank.
It must give you a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction that you are able to bring these piles of junk back to life.
I salute you.

Righto Frank, I've been lucky as both were on the machine when I bought it in 75.

Thanks Andy. It's fun. The worse they are the more fun it is. But getting
every machine to work well is a good feeling. Thank God for the folks that
have helped me and that make the tapes and the parts. I can recall speaking
to one person at 2 AM (his time) years back when I was stuck and facing a
deadline. Fortunately for me he was up at that hour working on his boat. I
don't want to say who it is as I know that he abhors attention.

I heard that there's an odd system of springs and pulleys below deck and
that it only run for eight second bursts.

Speaking of feet, Frank, here's the new ones I made for 1407. Glued up
two blanks from Poplar, cut them with a sabre saw, sanded the shit out
of them to get the shape and curves the way I wanted, and rounded them
over with my router. They're two inches higher, so they'll help my back
out a little.
