M3000HD

There's a demo video now up at the site. Click the link below and then
click the first page to go to the video link. Enjoy or otherwise. You can
program up to 14 chords per song and store them. Although it's a 3/4 size
keyboard, it's very playable and the iPad has superb audio quality.

Best,

Martin

Martin.

Still scratching my head a bit TBH

I'm sure there are some here (me for one) would love to know the thinking behind it.

My first thought is that is above all else a great bit of advertising for you and John. Hopefully it will act as a magnet for people to come to your site, take an interest, and buy the real thing!

Secondly what a wonderful way to remind the public what instrument made "those" sounds.

Thirdly, I'd love to know the full development story.

Fascinating. Completely wrong-footed me, and probably most others here as well!

All the best with "it"!

Hello Andy.

The thinking behind it is simple: we have an archive which we have never
exploited other than on mellotron tape. We have been rigid about this for
many a year but JB and I have decided to be less stoical. Dave Kean
released his CD rom years ago to much success and now that Clavia have allowed all
the master tapes to be available to Nord users, why be protective any
longer? If we hadn't joined forces and created the M3000, someone else will
and possibly with inferior sounds. Markus and Memotron can fight it out at
that level and we want no part of it. However, we are besieged by people
who have no space for an M4000 or the money to even buy a digital keyboard of
any kind so we have released a product that is very good sonically for the
growing iPad market. Apple are selling one every three seconds.

Best,

Martin

As an RF Ops field tech for Sprint Nextel, my personal mobile device is a Windows Mobile 6.5-based 'Pocket PC'.

If you can port this app over to WinMo, you've got at least one sale here; I'm sure mine wouldn't be the only one!

In a year February I'll be eligible for my annual upgrade; more than likely at that time, I'll be moving over to the Android platform (with a 4G device). Probably a good idea to consider that market as well, as it's groing rapidly right now.

Then there's the good ol' Blackberry....

Best regards,
Mark B.
