Just found this in Wikipedia:

"Since 2008, Jean-Loup Dierstein, with the support of Maurice Martenot's son, has been building ondes Martenot instruments based on the model used when production stopped in 1988."

You'll need about $20,000 IF they agree to build one for you.

I had the privilege to play one once for half an hour. It is a beautifully elegant instrument and incredibly expressive in the right hands (obviously not mine!). If I had $20,000 guacamoles, I'd certainly do my best to talk them into making me one. The most interesting thing about it is that you don't have to fight it to make expressive music.

They are making new ones indeed... Like... one every year or so?
I know somebody who has tried to contact the French company who makes them. No phone answer, no answer on mails, and somebody who lives in the neighbourhood of the company even went there and asked about the new martenot. They said that it's not their priority making the new ondes martenot, and that they can't follow all the demands.
I live not so far away from Paris, and I'm there like 5 times a year. Next time I'm in paris I will go to that company. It's called SEAM and this are the coordinates, if you're really interested:

S.E.A.M. 9-11 bis rue Jean Jaurs , 95130 le Plessis-Bouchard, France, FAX: 01 34 15 66 14

If you search for "9-11 bis rue Jean Jaurés , 95130 le Plessis-Bouchard" in google earth and start streetview, you can see the company

I also know a belgian musician, called An Pierlé, who was able to buy a Martenot some years ago. There was a problem with the power and the first time she used it... it blew up!
