I think Ableton Live is a great composition and recording tool but the new controller pads like Monoe and Launchpad seem to make shitty music.
All of the demos on YouTube suck!  They all sound like low budget porn movie soundtracks.

How annoying is that?

Does anyone know of any real music made with one of these instruments?

I've got the APC40 by Akai. It's a really clever device set up as a
hardware duplicate to the LIVE screen. You can trigger sequences and loops
or use it as a surface controller. I don't think that it's the controllers
faultt- most music sucks and they are trying to market to the mainstream.

50% of my work is done in LIVE. It is just wonderful.

Looking forward to getting an APC40 or 20 as an input/controller device.
