Off topic Harpsichords

Off topic Harpsichords

2007-12-16 by Mark Pring

Apart from mellotrons I really love baroque keyboard
music, I am painfully learning to play it on the piano
but I think it is best suited to the harpsichord. I
thought I would check out prices,
http://www.keithhillharpsichords.com/harpsichords.html

I think I will keep saving for my mellotron, probably
2010!

Mark

Yes, and for a mere 5 bob (give or take a tuppence), Martinge will mount photos of last summer's holidays in Devon on the inside of your mellotron's top cover -- just like the harpsichord maker with his airy-fairy paintings. Hot puppies!!

Tony, they are speaking English. The world would be a lot less interesting if everyone did and said the same things, had the same accent, the same products, the same way of looking at things.

These things look pretty complicated and probably fun
to tune and maintain.

Now anybody interested in calaiopes ?

Many years ago I retro-fitted a rather broken-down harpsichord with
pick-ups and played it through an Orange amp.
