How nice, everyone likes to have their age and usefullness called into
question once in awhile. Honestly, Sean our validity as musicians only
ends when we stop learning. I hot on this list to learn from some of these
old fogey mellotron geniuses. So. Wagner is not at all relevant to my
prog experiences. Your report is a little heavy on opinion and weak on
research.

All good stuff so far.

So that I'm not stepping on anyone's feelings or anything, I meant to be humorous and pick on us all. (You should see the dense and boring stuff I'm reading on the philosophies of scientific progress for one of my other classes.) I wouldn't pick on the group in general if I didn't like it and the people. (I also hopped on the list to learn from the old fogies as I've affectionately labeled you!)

The red editing pen suggestion is very good.

Yes the entire thing is weak on research. I'm going to ask my professor how much research he wants. (for some reason he keeps stressing that this is not a research paper; does he really want nothing but opinion?)

If I get a green light for research, what are some great resources to do so that I may not have heard of?

Thanks all

-Sean

No feelings hurt here (I write music for a living...nuff said) I will say that if you intended a self effacing tone, it didn't read that way, way too subtle. Be dramatic.

Well, uh, change in plans.

Found out on Thursday that a paper on a genre is not at all what the professor had in mind. That's what all of the students thought though, so he had to clarify what he was asking for.

Turns out he wanted a paper on a singular song, analyzed in those areas. Oh..

Well that explains the don't do any research bit, we've already done it by listening to the song. So I'm picking Starless, of course.

In a few months when I've the free time I'll ask you all about life in the prog world. Until then you may not hear much from me, lots of things just got assigned to me.

Take care all.
