Grammy Awards

2010-02-01 by ClayE

You know it's a bad year when Lady Gag-Me has 5 nominations.

Highlights (IMHO):
Imogen Heap wins best engineered album -(Ellipse)
also nominated for Best Pop Instrumental Performance - The Fire

MGMT nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals - Kids

Coldplay nominated for Best Rock Performance By a Duo/Group w/ Vocals - Life in Technicolor II

Jeff Beck wins Best Rock Instrumental Performance - A Day in the Life

There may have been other good parts but I had a hard time watching it. I hear that the Dave Matthews Band performance was good. I missed it.

Low-lights (IMHO):
Taylor Swift did not sing well. Album of the year AND best country album... WTF?
Jeff Beck doing a Les Paul tribute - Could have been better.
Lady Gag-Me and her acoustic foam head-gear.

So...it's probably not a good idea to turn around.
