forget that junk go digital

forget that junk go digital

2009-12-25 by ClayE

In the future, please ignore any messages like the "forget that junk go digital get a memotron" message. Clearly this guy was throwing out some bait, trying to get someone to bite. Frank, You got fished-in.

I don't want anyone to get the impression that we don't tolerate discussions about digital samplers. We can discuss any musical instrument here. We tolerate just about anything on this list.

Merry Christmas
Clay

Binary computing is a technological dead end. It's still got legs but it is contributing to the overall dumbing down. The current and continuing existence of the Mellotron is hugely important in a world where things that were built 30 years ago can't be replicated anymore.

Is there any other type of computing other than binary at present?

It may be a technological dead end but I would be very interested in what you think will replace it in the next 100 years.

What could be built 30 years ago that couldn't now?

They would both suffice. The Pinto might even burn after I run you over.
