Hey hey...
I have groups from my music schools in the studio a couple of times every year...Its always great to show them the time line from the chamberlin rhythmate to the MK II rhythms & fills to Strawberry fields...and beyond.
Same thing goes for doing the whole theremin to modular to mini moog to dx7 to no wait a minute...
Oh yeah...btw I am back...like herpes.

I love the fact that you are sharing your Tron and teaching others about it. That's just great!

past. I must admit, I had a blast. Very good group and they were
pretty amazed by the white box. I think the band directors had as much

Hi,
It was funny, when he brought it in (my dad) he sampled to the class some famous songs with mellotron and when the lyrics started playing in "the court of the crimson king", people started staring at me because they knew I like prog and silly lyrics, so they gave me a glare of, "wow patrick, your strange".

Think of it this way, Patrick: you're ahead of the curve. My two (very
hip -- in their own minds, at least) sons though my music was "weird",
"strange", "ridiculous". It wasn't until they heard the music live (at
one of my book launches) that they understood where the music was
coming from. Now they ask me to play some of the recordings.

Cheers,
Rick
