new member just want to say hello

Hi all,

I'm a new member and am interested in getting familiar with this group. I'm 16 and guitar is my first instrument but I'm lucky enough to share a mellotron with my dad who is a list member. Feel free to talk to me about music tastes, I listen to evreything from Anglagard to Dream Theater and so on.

Welcome.

You share a Mellotron…that’s fine,………… as that’s one more than I have access to.

…and so far, no one seems to mind the occassional ramblings of a Mellotron impaired person.

Thanks, well I guess I'm pretty lucky. He's more protective over it than is Mustang GT, but he certainly has a reason to!

I have met Patrick and his dad John. Patrick knows a lot about progressive music, and I can tell you all from first hand knowledge that he is also a Mellotron fanatic.

Well welcome aboard Dreamtheater13. I'm Sean, and new here myself, and don't have the favor of owning a Mellotron, just the M-Tron samples which are good enough to create that sound, and not good enough to use it in a professional context and expect my mix to sound like the of King Crimson's.
