Just take a look..........

Just take a look..........

...at this short movie of our dear friend Henry Dagg and his Pin Barrel
Harp. This massive instrument has been designed and handbuilt by Henry and
taken several years in gestation. Every bend, weld, milled slot, peg,
hammer, striker and gear has been made in his workshop, alone and undeterred by
several setbacks. It sounds wonderful but whether you like the music or
performance, just marvel at what one man can do with the bit between his
teeth.

There are several other Pin Barrel Harp movies on youtube but this is the
definitive one. Tony Banks has been sponsoring Henry as he can also see
the genius of this eclectic and utterly unique Irishman and this is his
defining work.

I'm going to wait to order mine. I hear he's coming out with a two barrel
model, the PBH 5000.

I saw both groups in Seattle a few weeks ago......great show. I really liked hearing the old King Crimson and ELP stuff from Asia. Yes is always fun to see....I've seen them many times over the years.

Cheers,

Gary

I enjoyed the ELP stuff as well..Carl Palmer beating the skins on the Aaron
Copland tune "Fanfare for.

ITCOTCK was pretty good too.

Oliver Wakeman had a digital bag of tricks and did a pretty good job on
Heart of the Sunrise and And You and I.

Saw them in Cincinnati back in November. Great set list and Oliver
Wakeman was very good on keys. The venue was somewhat small, but the PA
and the mix was terrific. No Tron on stage, but did see a red keyboard
which may have been a Nord Wave Clavia for the Tron parts. Squire was
using bass pedals on several songs and C's and D's was definitely felt.

I have to say the singer pulled off the Jon Anderson vocals pretty good, and
the band did a fine job

on Heart of the Sunrise and And You and I.

I also enjoyed Steve Howes guitar breaks on the encore/dshow closer:
Starship Trooper
