Just thought I'd post we've been without power since 10PM thursday night. Last night our son was able to borrow a generator so we have power to the family room downstairs and the refrigerator,so obviously I had to run an ext.chord to a live circuit. Spent 6 hrs.yesterday cutting up down trees. Still more to go. Mary Ann bought a nice propane heater on friday. Now all we need is water! Pete

Pete, Where are you in New England? Here in Connecticut we didn't have any ice storms, but we did have some flooding. Our basement had about 4 inches of water. Combined with forced air heating, it got pretty wet and steamy in the house and I had to run out and get a couple of dehumidifiers. There was water on everything. I waited two days before turning on the Tron. Seems OK. i'm here (Litchfield, NH...rural, farmland area just south of Manchester). we were without power until late Sunday afternoon. fortunately, we just got hooked up to town water over the summer and the electric in the house had been upgraded several years ago and the boxes to switch over to a generator were installed. so, we had water and ran our portable generator every few hours to keep the place warm and keep the refrigerators running. it was inconvenient but not a real big deal for us. still...i'm glad things are pretty much back to normal. dodging all those trees/tree pieces and downed power lines was a pain-in-the-ass!! Steve oh yeah...HAPPY HOLIDAZE!!!!!!!!!!!!! --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, "Bernie" <kornowicz@...> wrote: > > So we are neighbors.
