OT: Jimmy Carl Black RIP

Goodbye Good Friend, Jimmy Carl Black...
in loving memory of Jimmy Carl Black (born James Inkanish, Jr., February 1, 1938 – October 31, 2008).
Jimmy passed away peacefully Friday, October 31st 2008 at 11:00 o'clock pm. A fitting time for Mr Spooky - he will never leave our hearts...
Jimmy says hi to everybody and he doesn't want anybody to be sad.

A benefit for Jimmy's family will be held on 9 November 2008 at the Bridgehouse II in London.

Sad news. He was always my favorite Mother. Even got to jam with him 
once at the Cafe A Go Go.

Didn't get to jam, but he was on my radio programme just over a year
ago, with Eugene Chadbourne. Jimmy drummed on a telephone directory
and sang, while Eugene played banjo and sang. A wonderful time that
I'd hoped could be repeated someday. Sadly not to be. He was a
down-to-earth charmer.
