Whenever I get to play with a new keyboard (Roland / Yamaha / Korg), I
run through the various 127 + general midi patches to see if there's
anything NEW in there that's not crap. I usually fall asleep when I
get to the OLD "new-age" patches.
I have a Roland V-Drums sound module (TD-6). It turns out that in
addition to all the drum sounds, it has a GM1 bank as well (surprise).
2 or 3 of the 127 instrument sounds are actually quite good.
