The passing yesterday of Tom Doncourt

The passing yesterday of Tom Doncourt

2019-03-21 by Steven Davies-Morris

Tom's son posted to FB during my radio show that his dad had passed
away.  Tom had just announced that his medical treatment had run its
course and that he was going into hospice care with his time almost up.
24 hours later he was gone.  It was pulmonary fibrosis.   Some of you
may recall him as the keys player in the 70s band Cathedral.  Not a
successful band, but their influence on the resurgence of symphonic prog
in Scandinavia was huge.  I always enjoyed Tom's in-studio videos with
him rebuilding vintage keyboards.  RIP Tom.

First Charles, now Tom.  This has not been a good week for the community. :(

I am a bit shocked actually.

Here's how to remember Tom.  A trip through his Tower studio.

Agreed, so sad.  The only good is it allowed me to re-connect with old list and FB friends.  I encourage all to go to Spotify and listen to Char-El for a while.  I wish you all good health and happiness.
