M400S For Sale

Re: [newmellotrongroup] M400S For Sale

I would think it might be a little easier to interest someone if a rack was included.  I am a little confused by that.  I could understand offering a volume pedal as extra but a rack. They come with at least one rack.

Also is the finish custom original or is it stripped ?

I have two for sale at the moment both of which have been worked on by gurus so to speak, but both will come with racks.

I do wish the fellow luck though and I would tell anyone who asks that Jerry Korb is a pretty good name to drop when talking refurbished units

My M400S, #500 is up on eBay. I would much rather sell it to someone in this group than a complete stranger.

It is a bit confusing, but the Tron without any frames is certainly worth $4000 at the very least. The frames I have may disappoint someone who may only want one frame...no Cello/Violins/Flute or Combined Brass/Violins/8 Choir combo. If it were me buying this Tron, I would want one of those two combos as a primary frame, so I'm giving the buyer the option of choosing one or more of my frames at a price that's more than fair or going directly to Streetly and getting a frame of their choice for around $900. If I offered this Tron with a mandatory frame, the starting bid would certainly be more than it is.

Forgot to mention that the original finish was the standard white and Jerry stripped the cabinet and stained it.

Bernie, why don't you adjust your ad and offer a frame with any sounds the buyer wishes and put in a pointer to the Streetly Library. Then have Martin ship you the tapes, load them in and be done. Many buyers will not want to go through the hassle. They'll want the Tron and to be able to play it upon arrival.

Just my 2 cents.

That's a good idea, Frank, but links aren't allowed on eBay any longer. Besides, I have a possible buyer. We talked on the phone today and he understands the situation. If he goes for it, we will work out something that's mutually agreeable, including the possibility of purchasing a couple of my frames and/or ordering a custom frame from Streetly.

I think you are trying a little too hard to be honest Bernie.
I'm glad you have an intersted buyer.

I believe that Jerry also used clear epoxy based coatings on his work just like the original MKII finishes

Yes, Is I mentioned previously, Jerry stripped the original finish and stained it with an oak stain.
