That's so nice of you to say. In honor of you I shall call this one , "The Kinch Project.

Unless, of course, you ask me not to. Prior to that I was thinking of calling it the,"Blue Me," project.

Regardless, I have a plan.

Frank, you're the...uh...funky worm? Congratulations...I think.
Anyway, since you'll kind of be in the neighborhood, stop by for a
beer or three.

Frank.
Honoured. I'm feeling a bit blue myself. If only I had someone like you to come and refurbish all my ailing bits and pieces! A rebuild is exactly what I need right now.
I've always felt privileged to be one of the few to actually own one of these amazing machines. But until now, I've never actually felt jealous of one!!....Bugger, did I actually say that?

Frank,

You are keeping the blue art, right??  Or at least translating it into an album cover!?!?

I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. I haven't been in my shop for any serious work in months. I still have the black one to work on as well. I'm hoping that I'll find some inspiration to get working again.

I've actually been going through a serious bought of depression. Maybe, like the Lazarus machine, this one will be so thoroughly deplorable that I'll feel sorry enough for it to pick up a wrench. Otherwise, it may end up just collecting dust.

I'm signing off right now to drive to Connecticut to retrieve it.

Bye

Hehe...  that was a tongue in cheek comment...  But, hey, Yes will be doing their 40th anniversary tour...  Maybe you can convince Rick that this Blu-Ray tron is just the inspiration needed to actually use some legit keyboards this time around...

or at least make Roger Dean laugh...

Good luck with however it turns out...

Hi Frank-

It ought to be an interesting rebuild. Gawd, you
could write a book about it. PICTURES, WE WANT
PICTURES!!

Have a good trip.

Frank,
I had been following the bluetron auction,
myself, but jumped ship at $900. You are, indeed a
glutton for punishment, but parts is parts, if worse
comes to worse. Unfortunately I'm booked today or I'd
grab a vehicle and meet you for a beer and a
conversation about the blacktron. But you'll have
enough to deal with, most certainly. I'll give you a
call tomorrow sometime, if I can.
Best and good luck with the drive!
-Jack
