the mutiny is nearly complete...
i have noticed a conspicuous lack of commentary from don.
seeing as it was quite transparently obvious that his booting
of mr dickson was solely due to don being the target of what
he thought was abusive, and that things had gotten FAR more
ugly amongst others on the "old" list, i should not really
be surprised. it was actually not very abusive, and as i said,
it was not nearly as nasty as some previous "heated discussions".
so it came down to:
go ahead and piss on each other all you want, but if some
overspray touches me, you are outta here...

it's really quite shameless.

just my belated 2 cents [though not really worth even that].

I had decided to leave, regardless. Clay's email invite came just in time.

As Don has said, it's his group, he can do what he wants. I seem to remember him talking differently when the group was first set up on Yahoo.

I should feel a bit guilty for my flippant remark starting off the whole thing, but I don't. It's not like I haven't chucked silly hand grenades over the transom before (to paraphrase someone else), and he should have realized it.

I also was somewhat serious when I said we should all be as rude as possible most of the time. That way everyone is used to being insulted, so any harsh words don't stand out as much.

Hey, it could work.

Welcome to everyone who's moved into the new building. Let's make it something interesting and enjoyable. And when the place occasionally catches fire, we can all stand around and piss on it until it's out!

Well good luck to Don. I'd sooner not let us dwell on him and his myriad
shortcomings and instead dwell on the subject of the wonderful
instrument that brings us all here.

I saw a movie like that once, only it involved a news girl tied up in a
bathtub, and I don't recall any fire or anything...

I appreciate Don going to the trouble of starting the orignal group.
I really appreciate Rick invitng us to say what we need to say. I
really appreciate Martin encouraging me after a very embarassing sleep
deprived post that could have made me slink away for an extended
period of time.

Punishing someone for what they say is amazingly grating on me. I see
it's not just the Americans in that regard.

This is a good, generous smart group and I am glad to see we are
sticking together

Let's all hold hands and sing "Kum Ba Ya".

I think a little mellotron choir and mandolin would be a nice accompaniment, don't you?

Michael, ah one, ah two, ah three...

Should appear in the file section soon. I think maybe
saxophone for the lead voice or perhaps accordion. Is
there a harmonica tape set? Would solve my problem of
never being able to bend notes on the harmonica.

Zamfir would be proud....and befuddled.
Say, the Panflute would make a great 'Tron voice.

Kinda like squeezing different sounds out of the same
orifice, ain't it?
A true pan flute would include interactive resonances
from the other nearby chambers, as in the case of the
Inca Pan flute. (El Condor Pasa, que?)
